I just saw the 'Super 6' version of this car a week ago, west of where I live.
These Hudsons were the only 'buy recommendation' Dr.Kamm had for friends and associates in the 1950s.
Thanks for the image and comparison!

The funny thing about the plan taper of a properly boat-tailed car,is that you don't need a rear window at all.Everything can be seen from the side mirrors.

On this Renault,we might want to slide the template back a bit, maybe inline with the door handle.
It will show that the roofline is a smidgeon 'fast.'
The 2nd-gen 'Template' might and probably will show a better fit.
I suspect that the boundary layer would like this car very much,as far as the roof anyway.
Thanks for image and comparison.

I dare you to take two surfing short-boards, mount one on the top of the roll bar, cut the go-karts length out of the other one and fashion front and rear bumpers—and then tension trampoline netting into a hyperbolic paraboloid between the two. It would act like a tinted window, shed rain and the permeability would slow the air but equalize the various high and low pressures on the front, back and sides of a Tromphenwagen shape.
Do you even have a go-kart? It would be the safest one on the block.

That's exactly what I would do.
Or make a 'one-shot' mold which includes the allowance for the pie-cut and cast a lighter-weight shell inside that.
The caveat: If you have Femme-bots with goats, stay with the original heavy-wall boat hull.A goat can render a light shell fit for the landfill overnight!

I think that it is about right. It might be easier to tell with a larger image, but sometimes it is tricky to find the high point of the roof.

The funny thing is—I think I understand that.
deejaa -- there is a secondary use of the Template; where you slide it back and forth to align the [front and rear] wheels and transcribe the underside, for the spats and stuff.
Renault Dezir 2010 concept: I couldn't find a closeup of the backlight, but appears to be treated like this area on the front fender tops.
This suggests the backlight is perforated, not a bad strategy optically.
