Is it time to buy another Samsung Galaxy s6 [alarm clock] :D

I don't have any idea what happened, it was just off the other day, and doesn't turn on.

It was plugged in!

I bought an s20 FE, which doesn't stand for fuel-efficient, over 3 years ago now, but I am not enjoying using my daily driver to play audiobooks, Classical music, and the refreshing sound of an alarm.

I prefer having a backup, what would I do if I submitted schoolwork before midnight, took care of more things, and then suddenly couldn't get my phone to set an alarm because it died or something?

Hopefully it never happens, but I would hate to get in trouble with clinicals!

I have my roommates' old Motorola phone, but it has the button on the back, and I prefer just touching the button and setting the alarm or whatever, not picking it up first.

Somewhere I have a garbage RCA tablet and an old Samsung one, although I believe they wouldn't connect to wifi.

The last time that I tried, my ancient keyboard phone worked, but that must be in Show Low, too, although I keep trying to drive up there.

Hopefully I can after finishing this research project which was due last night!

Neither suggestion is convoluted enough to qualify as a solution. Needs more R. Goldberg action. I do like JSH's pick, but am leery about voice control and lack of anti fling capacity.

Grabs bag of popcorn.

Is that a button on the back?

I need to find that Samsung tablet and see if I can connect to the wifi.

The local supermarket has this for $25, so I may buy one if I cannot find one of my old Androids:

I made a day trip to Show Low.

I don't know if I already shared this: Dizzy Dunker Bucket Lid Mouse Trap | Made in USA | Multi Catch | Humane | Indoor/Outdoor.

YouTube recommended it and I liked the idea.

The biggest complaints were that it came apart too easily (and it totally does!) and that it doesn't come with the clear 5-gallon bucket depicted in the video: The video also says they designed it to pack flat.

If you design a fully-functioning 5-gallon bucket that folds flat, I will beat a path to your door.

I asked where to buy a clear bucket like the one depicted in the video and someone said to just check my local stores (I did!), but I can totally use an opaque bucket, I just need to actually check frequently to see if I caught something--it is a design flaw.

I liberally applied gorilla glue, so it may not come apart easily, but at least it won't come apart easily! The inventor also released this video: He stated that 1/100 mice escaped because there was a little ledge around the top.

Someone recommended removing that and I wanted to grind it off, but who has the time?

Of course, my high-maintenance family delayed me driving up.

I hoped to grab as much of my stuff as I could without Mom wasting my time, cleaning the carpet, and maybe working just a little on the 2002 Civic, but I kept hearing mice, they got into a bunch of stuff, and I saw a few.

At one point I heard mice from 3 different directions.

One was in the corner cabinet, so I put on my gloves, and pulled out everything.

Apparently, the mouse is under the cabinet, but it had gotten into a bunch of Mom's food, so I threw out everything that was open, and put everything that looked untouched and the bowls and stuff in 100-quart tubs Mom left in the garage.

I took all of the untouched food from the rest of the cabinets and the wire rack shelves I bought and put those in 2 more 100-quart tubs.

Mom and my sister say to just throw away everything.

What about the 3 freezers full of meat?

Someone recommended donating it to animal shelters, but how long would that take?

How much would each shelter accept?

Mom and my brother usually remember to put out the garbage cans, but they didn't this week, so we are going to have problems before the week is over, on top of 300 quarts of dry food, and 3 freezers full of meat in Show Low.

Anyway, I found my brother's 7" Samsung tablet and a white LG phone.

I got the Samsung to connect to the wifi.

It may have just been Mom's router, I had devices that wouldn't connect, but would access my desktop's hotspot.

However, I cannot log into Google so I can install any apps, although YouTube works.

I am sure that I could find a super-long playlist, but I found this, so I will try it out once this video ends: The same password worked on the LG phone, although I couldn't hear the local Classical station, the one in Flagstaff, and I needed to install Listen. In or something for the Tucson station, it doesn't have its own app.

That advertised a Christmas station, so I listened to carols for a few days until this morning!

[ominous music]

When I woke up it wasn't playing and it was down to 23% despite being plugged in all night and it saying it was charging.

I started the music again and the charge started going down despite saying it was charging, so maybe the phone with the button on the back isn't working.

Hmmm... son who is in the business of catching assorted endangered animals says catch and relocate is illegal. The process for vermin is catch and terminate. If one is wanting humane, I suggest anoxia via either carbon monoxide or oxygen deprivation.

Practical experience indicates releasing a mass of captured rodentia elsewhere just causes them to adjust their population which introduces new specimens to your environ that haven't been caught yet.
