Right side is almost done. I still have the eye bolt locking mechanism to install.
Open...
Closed (except not locked in place yet)...
Hopefully I'll git done with both sides to hook up the trailer fer a quick test run tonight.

Both gap covers are installed. Not quite the fit I had in mind but there's enough fer me to work with.
A quick mock up with the trailer...
Both covers opened...

Gap cover locks in place...gap cover close to the bed panel.
Clear cover on top now...
Gap cover rail supported at the end of the aero cap side panel...
The red tape on the gap cover rail is a safety item when the gap cover is in the open position.
Eventually I'll git some lift off hinges so I can easily remove the gap covers and leave the support rail in place.

Had to go git gas so I pulled the gap covers off of the rails. Only 18 screws...
I had an older couple in a van chase me down fer a few blocks. After gitting their eye full and making their comments, they turned around and went on their way.

latest aero mods
Bam,if you have time, install a second fuel gauge to measure the gallons you'll be 'producing' on the upcoming trek!
Another 'Independent Texas Oil Producer.'
Fun!
I won't rest until I hear some updates from the road.Great going!
I suspect that there will be a lot of photos taken between now and when you return home.

This is so funny! Last night, my gf and I were killing time at Michaels and they have a whole section for pinewood derby. Of course we reminisced of those days (not sure why she had one, since she obviously wasn't a boy scout!). My first thought was of course what I could have done with my aerodynamic knowledge!

The kid who won one pinewood derby simply made the smallest car that he could and filled it with as many weights as he could. Of course, Cd is important, but he seemed to have some understanding of CdA.
