Hi Gremlingrrl,
The following changes have been updated in my version of the GGP results:
- Jen Danzinger added as navigator to car #39 IMW Seven and mpge listed next to the 198 figure. The above spreadsheet you mentioned is based on the official GGp results release, so these changes are not reflected on the official results shown on the GGP site so you may also wish to contact Mr. Gillespie.

Not sure I follow you on this: "Luke Deptula was in #9, the "300 MPG" blue Prius with."

GGP Official sheet has Luke Deptula in the #9 car and this is listed as 200+. Is this also incorrect for the final mpg/mpeg figure?

He had the blue Prius with "this car gets 300mpg" vinyled on the back. Basically he had a ton of lithium batteries powering a plug in conversion of the Prius. Since the Plug in Prius gets 95mpge on electric, 200mpg+ would be an accurate statement about fossil fuel consumption but not efficiency! A stock Nissan leaf is more efficient MPGE wise than his Prius, so the 200-300mpg figure he's using conveniently neglects to account for all the electricity he used to charge his batteries. Volt owners also tend to use these "inflated" efficiency numbers.

I was just trying to specify which Prius he was in- the one with "300 MPG" sticker on the back of it. And doing so poorly with my fat thumbs typing on my iPhone this morning. All typos are my own.

I wasn't suggesting a change to his final MPG numbers.

Thanks!

Ok thanks for the clarification Gremlingrrl. If anyone spots any typos please let me know. There was a typo on Sheepdog 44 and has been corrected in this PDF of Rally Spreadsheet - Sorted by Category

It should be the opening weekend at Watkins Glen again, happens about the same time every year. If there is no info on the GGP website you can just check with Watkins Glen Racetrack when their opening weekend is.

Oh man. I missed this last year because I was deployed.
It's a good thing there's a two car length rule. Because I could see an bunch of you guys drafting my Grand Marquis and it's beautiful ability to displace large portions of air.

I will have the aluminum block in by then. But I really want a manual transmission.
Maybe 2016.

GGP didn't have any information. Sounds like a good estimate, but I hope Bob can chime in.

I checked my old emails:
On Feb 11, 2014, I (and other previous participants) received an email from Bob G. inviting us to enter the 2014 GGP which was on Fri. Apr 11.

Just sayin' - our enthusiasm here is commendable, but I think Sep of the prior year is earlier than Bob's timeline for sending out invitations.

Someone could check the early part of this thread for when we first saw the 2014 date here (hint).
