I'd be mostly inclined to make a motorcycle-engined trike from scratch for that price.

Not that many, but Ford buggy-spring suspensions are still around, and the tubular axle was one-year only, with I-beams before and after. The tubular axle is marginally more aerodynamic. It could bolt directly to the frame, eliminating the batwings, radius rods and traverse spring and shackles.

Street rodders pay good money for a clean look.

Edison used an aluminum box beam.

Trying to make all cars "fool proof" with crash test standards and air bags prevents the most efficient designs and doubles the price and materials content and runs counter to what the world needs going forward.

FMVSS standards are the reason we don’t get engine and transmission choices in cars.

A simple change to the platform laws would bring choice back to the market by not requiring crash tests to be run on every displacement and transmission choice.

The problem is that idiots kill non-idiots from time to time.

Maybe I'm unemployable, but when I'm an owner of an FUV I can pimp it out while I take a nap.

Brilliant: Work eight hours, rent out your SRK for a total of $114, and not have enough electricity left to get home.

The app should charge extra if they do not plug in your FUV when they are finished.

I used to deliver pizzas in a VW Beetle when I was in college. First thing I would do is add a clip-on range extender.
