Most of my riding this summer has been on my road bike in the form of commuting. I am still able to average 17-18mph with effort on my 11 mile RT commute. I am 61 years old. Went 40 miles once this summer. I used to ride 100-300 miles a week. I am ashamed of my pathetic amount of current riding.

I rode my ultra low racer a couple of times my trike a few times and my Fixed gear bikes a dozen times. I like the ease of climbing on the uprights and the ease of parking the traditional wedgie.

Cheating? Na you are not cheating, you are just helping to make jobs for people at battery and electric motor factories.

Your avatar really cracks me up. I once rode a 54" highwheel bike. I'm riding it and say to the owner, how do I stop this thing? He suggests that I lay it down into his bean field. I did.

ha - that pum'kn is awesome DIMS, not jus' seasonal but an excellent "visibility" safety device lol

Varn - sorry, I thought I had a larger version of my avvi to share... but I seem to have lost it amongst the chaos that is my computer, it's out there somewhere tho, it's a somewhat popular pic if ya want it.

...and in the spirit of things, some fall pics w/my bike all done up & ready in it's winter duds;
