Noted. Pricey? Looks quite useable.
I’m mainly just worried about making my car a more efficient killing machines by having the bumper be less crumbly. I’ve yet to come close to hitting a pedestrian, but I’m sure it could happen.

A lift kit doesn't add any surface area, as such. Unless you make the suspension mushier, allowing for more body movement, it shouldn't hurt.
Most car bumpers are low enough that they hit pedestrians low in the legs. A harder bumper won't change that and shouldn't really be a factor in the pedestrian's injuries. I realize you're also asking about a lift, but an inch or two shouldn't change this.

There are three price levels, wholesale, retail and end user, so it depends on your connections. Competitive products are Alumapanel and Grimco Maxmetal. I've seen prices quoted from $50 to $10 a 4x8 sheet.
What was illustrated was experiments on scraps from a sign shop. Hand sheared, braked and rolled with an 18" lever arm.
I'd worry more about hitting bollards than pedestrians.

Got me thinking of that video where the LeMans car flings a deer up into the air, lol. Makes sense, though. I’ve got coroplast scraps left over, so I’ll probably use that, but I’m going to look into polymetal.

Come to think of it, is a lift kit safe for the car’s driveline? Probably would need a wheel alignment afterwards too, right?

Should be fine for the drivetrain, but yeah, any time you modify the suspension, an alignment is called for.

This would be a sweet rig, but the original Jeep is good for about 45 mph. The 200 mile [round?]trip would be brutal. A 2WD Veep with VW power could cruise at 70. An electric 4WD version with bagged suspension could crawl rocks.

Off-roaders learn all about CV joints, eventually they upgrade to Porsche 930 parts. Else you can lengthen the A-arms to preserve the angles.

I reconsidered things a bit. I’ve driven the civic for however long now and only really got stuck the other day. I asked around here and have gotten the opinion that a lift may not really be worth the effort. As I’m still living with my parents (*sad music*), I can just drive one of the trucks or my dad’s Jeep Islander. We didn’t have snow for a while, and I was half-groggy from an alarm not going off, so I crawled through the drifts for whatever reason and got stuck. Coming home I went 40 km/h and bust through them, and then laughed a bit as my underbody panels let the car slide forward when the wheels lost traction. I really like all the unexpected benefits of winter driving with these mods. Something else of note, with the wheel discs I’ve never had death wobble from snow being stuck and frozen to the rims. I digress, though.
200 mile round trip..? What do you mean?

I have no idea.
Deleted post? Wrong thread?
It was something about a 200-mile trip with 30 miles at 3mph. ????
