I brought my paper Cybertruck to Thanksgiving yesterday and learned that my brother-in-law (there should be a word for that to make it concise. How about BroLaw?) put a $100 deposit down on one. In his words, he's definitely going to get one; probably the midrange.
He's the type to like unique vehicles and get bored with them quickly.

Unfortunately, the used ones will likely hold their value well.
Did he get it because he saw your model?

I broached the subject by asking my dad if he had watched the reveal, which he had only caught pieces of it from network news (he still gets a newspaper). Then my brolaw asked me what I thought of it, and I mentioned that my initial impression was that it was hideous and ridiculous (hideculous?), but that the appearance is growing on me. At that point he mentioned his $100 deposit, and then I showed my paper model. I brought it along just to ask people what they thought of the aesthetics.
Early Model S prices are finally coming down... I would hope a used Cybertruck would be about half price after 6 years just like normal vehicles. Probably looking at the better part of a decade before I owned one. More likely I'll purchase something new that still has the full federal tax credit available.
The RAV4 Prime sounds like a winner to me (although I don't want another hybrid).

Now Neil, it is unreasonable to compare a new Bollinger with a used Tesla. You know that Musk has virtually never made a price (or production) target.*
*The Model 3 first became available for reservation 192 weeks ago. The $35,000 Model 3 was available for a whole 8 weeks or 1/24th or the time.
Not statistically significant.

Putin as that man-behind-the-curtain, or the guy trying to hold his country together in the wake of the USofA and China?
Advertising itself is a greater threat to the First Amendment than any single person could be.

The $35,000 was increased in price to something like $35,600 and is still available for purchase. You can get it in 2 weeks or less.
I don't consider a $600 price hike to mean the $35k model doesn't exist or never did, especially since that's less than inflation since the original proclamation that the car would start at $35k.
Elon has pretty well made good on everything but time frames.
