Elon is also a marketing genius, he knows social media and cultural influencers.
It's obvious someone is being propagandized, but without subtitles it's hard to tell who and how.

On the face of it, the conclusion would be that the Cybertruck was stolen and on it's way to a chop shop? And they'll all be gang-bangin' millionaires?

I don't think it works that way.

The power of cross promotion is today's marketing reality. At one time; printed newspaper ads, car magazines and screaming TV sales sales people and their animal mascots sold cars. If millenials and our succeeding generations are to be convinced to love cars - you need to live n their 'influenced' world.

Oh, I get it. But they're not reaching a broad audience with mush-mouth rapping. Put a Cybertruck in a driving simulator (GTA/Mario) and it transcends the language barrier.

I've tried to convince Arcimoto to release a .OBJ game asset, but even with their origin out of Garage Games, they still haven't picked up on that.

Understand why this 8-yr old lords over a $150 million dollar influencer empire...

I've watched the whole process. Internet was to bring us together, but it balkanized.

An instructive example was Lil Tay. The overview is as a replacement for [increasingly ineffective] advertising. The power of unboxing.

edit:
I've given up looking for it but there was a music video from Marshmello about stealing an Arcimoto FUV (from Jesse Fittipaldi their Marketing guy) and joy-riding around some city (LA?) at night.

Elon's playing catch-up, just like with the $100 reservation.

scrubbers

That is based in current costs of the technology which just like batteries or anything else will get better with time and scale.
From what I've read so far, what stands out is,that it's most economical not to produce the greenhouse gases in the first place. We need to remove existing GHG,but so far,the operating efficiencies are quite low, costs high.

I don't clean as frequently as my wife, but I think it comes down to differences in behavior in general. She's less careful and makes perhaps 4x more mess or more than I do, but then cleans more often. I'm more careful, preferring not to make the mess in the first place, and clean less frequently.

Seems to reason not emitting something in the first place is easier than trying to emit and then try to remove later, though containment is easier to deal with than cleaning something uncontained.

At Permalink #315 I suggested hempcrete to impound atmospheric CO2 through new construction. Another example would be carbon-negative concrete. You'd need that for foundations and underwater.

I'm sure there are plenty of people who would charge big bucks for ineffectual remediation.

Just to suspend carbon emissions, you'd have to grow a quantity of hemp, equal to the stored carbon mass of the total world's forests,15-times each year, just for stasis. This is the scale of carbon emissions from just fossil fuels. And we've woken the sleeping dragon of formerly-frozen methane, for which there is no remedy other than cooling the planet back down.

... the opiate solution to managing CO2 concentrations. Brilliant! The Chinese probably already have a few "solutions".
