Got my air shock in today...but I'll have to wait until the weekend to install it as I'll be on the road until then.

Pulled the pivot system apart so I could drill out the support plate to accept the air bag. All the old grease has been cleaned out and regreased with the good stuff. Pulled the rubber puck out and installed the air bag. Need to go pick up a 5/16" x 1" bolt and lock washer so I can bolt the top of the air bag in place. Ordered a Schrader valve and it should be in later this week so I can pump the air bag up. Can't wait...

Building up the new bulkhead.



New dimensions are:

Front: 33" tall (bottom of bulkhead to the top of the lid crown) x 62.5" wide
Rear: 22" tall x 39" wide
Main body length: 60" long
Hitch to body length: 25" long

The differential between the hitch at the maximum range of motion is about 8" of travel fer a gap cover between the hitch and the bottom of the bulkhead (14" to 6"). Not sure what I should use fer that just yet.

The bottom gap cover from the end of the extended diffuser to the pivot point of the hitch will probably be reinforced Coroplast fer now.

The back end of the truck is 76" wide 6" forward of the hitch pin hole where I measured the beginning of the trailer hitch.

I still have to build out the bottom frame work fer the trailer belly pan. I did drop the back end of the belly pan about 1.5" so the angle wouldn't be as fast as it was before.

I've figured that the diameter of the swivel is about 36". Still working on how to support the frame work fer that part. Definitely thinking of using foam so it won't add a lot of mass to the swivel. I just hope it will survive the vibrations.

I have a layer of Tyvek to add to the sides before I slap the Coroplast back on. I should be able to reuse the old Coroplast sides without too many issues.

I built a new rear bulkhead and will try flush mounting the rear tail lights.
