A quick shakedown spin with everything in place yielded 29.0mpg fer the 15 mile round trip. Nothing fell off or got ripped off. I did notice my vertical truck based gap cover wiggling just a little. I might have to tighten the bungee cord to keep that tighter to the truck. The vehicle/trailer package seems to be pretty stable. Trailer is unloaded fer the moment and bucking doesn't seem as bad as it did loaded with luggage and the fiberglass tub.
The combo does seem to coast much further and faster as I now have to use my brakes in some of the turns around here.
I've added some Harbor Freight high visibility tape around the trailer. At least I've taken care of that issue.

No...the drive I took is my quick short testing route. My test runs along this route before yielded about 24-26mpg with the trailer in different configurations. The previous run before this with the current configuration without the upper gap covers yielded 28.8mpg the other day.

Had one issue where the upper gap cover was catching in the air stream. Seems as the gap cover was bouncing up and down from the trailer reacting to the road, the metal braces on the rear of the cover was bending and changing the angle of the cover which caused the horizontal flap to stick up into the air stream. I didn't figure that out until about the 3rd stop to fix the cover. I should be able to attach a support bar between the flaps locking in the distance from increasing.
Got an indicated 21.5mpg from College Station to Waco, an indicated 24.4mpg from Waco to Denton, an indicated 24.5mpg from Denton to Ardmore, and an indicated 27.2mpg from Ardmore to Wichita.
Had one person chase me to take a piccie of my setup in Oklahoma City. Maybe one of the many piccies on this run will finally show up Reddit, Imgur, or one of those othe sites...
It was good to meet up with aerohead and share lunchtime with him in Denton.

Glad to read about conspicuity tape as well as current mpg numbers. I ran some loads from Houston to a drilling rig just outside Bryan and run some of the same roads otherwise as you. Don't expect to actually see yours, but am on the lookout nevertheless.

Seems my gap cover between the main belly pan and rear diffuser popped off and became a air dam. Will have to remove it and see if my numbers improve on the retun trip.

Today's strong winds (gusts up to 45mph) here in Wichita have damaged the clear upper gap cover (ripped off the hinges from behind and the cover has been recovered) and ripped off the right side upper side gap cover which is long gone now. I'll have to remove the left side one if I want it to survive as well.
Might have to drive home without the upper gap cover installed on the return trip. Guess I'll need to figure out a method of keeping the back end from flipping up in strong winds when I reattach it...maybe with some bungee cords.
