Made a run out to Giddings/Lexington with Dark Aero attached and ran into some heavy crosswinds. It was rather discomforting that I was being pushed around so much...not sure if the added leverage from Dark Aero was the key factor in the added excitement or not.
Indicated gas mileage going out was around 21mpg at 65mph. Coming back was better at around an indicated 24mpg but I was cruising around 75mph to 80mph at times.
Everything held up during the drive and nothing fell off nor did the belly pan git pulled down from the air flow. The new tail didn't fall apart or impact anything during the drive. I'm not sure that the tail is aligned exactly straight behind the wheel when driving forward but it can be easily moved over by removing four screws. I'll have to check it tomorrow in a parking lot.
I had one pickup truck (Ford F150) chase me fer about 10 miles trying to git a closer peek but he only got as close as 10 car lengths behind me. As we approached slower traffic as I approached home, I changed lanes to the right lane since my turn was coming up and traffic was starting to build up on the right lane. The F150 figured he had a chance but since he was in the left lane...he ended up overshooting my position and his passenger didn't have his phone ready to shoot when approaching a traffic light. He tried to slow up in the left lane and allow me to pass him but traffic behind him was building up quick so he ended up cutting in the right lane about two car lengths in front of me. Bahahahah..fool! He tried to slow up the right lane so I would pass him on the left but I ended up making my turn after he passed the next intersection. He ended up turning right at the following intersection trying to intercept me but I ended up losing him due to traffic. So the lesson learned here...have a passenger ready to shoot if yer gonna chase something fer 10 miles.
There are times that I feel like a fishing lure in a pond full of hungry fish or like a cat walking in front of a bunch of crazy dogs when I drive through an intesection.

Since the shock boots were sitting around...I thought I would dress the air shocks up a bit.
If the other drivers were confused before...the visible shock boots will really drive them crazy!

As tempting as that might sound...installing a flux capacitor display would be just as tempting. I wonder how many drivers would try to goat me to 88mph...

If it finally starts raining here instead of threatening to, I'll be able to hook up Dark Aero and do some DirtFlow modeling.
Here's what the hitch should look close to with the shock boots compressed.

Just pulled the air bag spring out. At least I had fun...
Bought a Kong red toy in Large and chopped it down to size. Putting a 6"x5/16" bolt through both plates and will install a small Kong toy on the bottom of that so it will keep tension on the fixed plate in both directions (compression and expansion). Hopefully this will be able to handle the rigors of the road.
I will be leaving the Lazy Susan belly off fer now until I can tweak the suspension settings.

Well...that sucked! The Kong toy collasped as soon as I put the weight of the Dark Aero on the ground.
In order to git some sort of suspension, I stuck the original rubber puck back on Dark Aero and shimmed it up a little.
Still no rain to test the mods with...maybe later today it will rain.
