Making some measurements...width of the fork is 6.5" wide, 8.75" fer the axle.
With an ideal ratio of 3.93:1, this would mean the length of the wheel pant should be around 25.545" fer a width of 6.5" and a length of 34.3875" fer a width of 8.75". I should be able to easily fit that under Dark Aero with ease.

A quick and simple mock up with cardboard. The cardboard piece is 31" long and the front edge sits right at the vertical pivot point. The back end of the wheel pant extends 9" past the rear of Dark Aero.
I will have to taper trim the rear portion so it will clear the bottom of the sides and rear while articulating. I will have to taper the bottom edge to clear driveways and speed bumps. The rear part will be fully enclosed. The nose cone will be a separate attachment piece. There will be attachment brackets fer the wheel pant to easily bolt on to. I will be using the data I learned from the previous attempts/tail cone setup fer clearance. I might even apply a skid plate fer the bottom, too!

Found this old thread from about 5 years ago. Guess I'm the only one going through with the process.

Finally got the trailer jack mount built! Changing the tire on the road just got easier...
I happened to guess the correct amount of clearance needed fer the wheel pant and Dark Aero's side panels.
Just enough clearance from the front edge...
If I trim the upper tail portion of the wheel pant down a little more, it should be able to clear the belly pan once I start designing the new pan.

I saw this 1957 single wheel camper on our local Craigslist. I think $3000 is a little steep but supposedly it's very nice.

The pictures were terrible as well. The best Craigslist ads are the ones with spelling errors and bad pictures. Usually that means a $300 price tag not $3000.
