No.
However, it is attached at 8 points.
It is really not hard to figure out.

Not bad actually.
It allows you to see traffic quite easily directly behind you.
Also...
The cross bar across the middle of the window happens to be exactly at the level of most head lights .
A big plus in my book...

Very motivating work you've done here Red. I'm looking to do something quite similar for my Festiva with hopefully very similar real world results!
Edit: I'm considering rear hatch removal for weight reduction (60ish pounds I think). Any thoughts on that?

Makes a lot of sense... but also creates new problems keeping the weather out if it's not perfectly sealed.
Aerocivic has had a hatchectomy under its tail, as has weather spotter's Matrix, if I'm not mistaken.

Yes.
I had a few people ask me questions at rest areas along the way.
One particular person happened to be a truck driver. Japanese I believe. He took several pictures and said he was very impressed. He told me that he was going to post them on his facebook account as...

Too funny.
However...
What he said next, was the icing on the cake...
( Say out loud in a Japanese accent)

He meant it...
Lol...

Personally I wouldn't.
By leaving the hatch intact, you haven't changed the way the vehicle will respond if involved in a crash. Remember, Big money was spent to pass safety tests in order to keep you safe.
Anything less than a full roll cage in lieu of the hatch would be unsafe at best...
In my opinion.
