A news commentator provokes a rant about electric vehicles towing trailers:

Cybertruck Lands DEVASTATING Blow at 14:45

I had thought it would create a market for electrically assisted trailers, but I guess that market (such as it might be) exists right now.

As fo the rest, I for one look forward to the World Cyber {Hot Hatch}.

My dad took a Rivian for a spin today. I didn't get there in time.

I took the F150 EV for a spin, and it drove exactly like an F150, except electric. Seems a solid truck, and I'd be inclined to it if I needed another truck.

Also took a Model X for a spin, and that's probably the only EV I'd consider at the moment given my requirement of 6+ seating. Still curious how the CyberTruck turns out.

Tried a Model Y, which was fantastic, and probably what I'd buy if I only needed 5 seats. Also drove a Kia EV6, which was also very nice. Seemed to have almost as much utility as a Prius.

Complete unobtainium. The earlier part of that video goes on about the 2 million preorders against a production rate of 50,00 a year. Without a second gigafactory it will take years to get one if you don't have a preorder in.

I haven't seen one yet, but one of the largest manufacturers of semi-trailers for trucks is offering such setup as an option.

You mean a trailer with aluminium frame? AFAIK they're more popular in Europe due to the stricter weight restrictions.

What I didn't find is a trailer that you could tow with a motorcycle that could carry a motorcycle.

That you could tow with a Prius as well.

I have already seen sidecars designed to carry a wrecked or broken-down motorcycle. A trailer for the very same function here would most likely exceed the extremely tight regulations regarding the size of motorcycle trailers.

Yesterday I got rearended in the 11ft long flatbed trailer behind my Toyota Avalon, twice within a couple minutes, both by humongus new pickups. One was at a stoplight. The other was at a stop sign.

The trailer did get a little bent but I think it will be ok.
