I have seen over regulation and essentially no regulation.
Unfortunately too many people can't be trusted to take care of their own stuff under no regulation and will just run there trailer until there are holes rotted through the deck and wheels falling off.

How do you regulate stupidity? Though they don't say it this way exactly, it is one of the biggest jobs of government. And, as pointed out, degrees of stupidity permeate the enforcement arena as well.

Personally I'm just like everyone else. I want regulation for everyone but me!

No you let nature regulate stupidity, government is just ruining evolution. Keep this up and the chimps are going to pass us up as they at least are still truly free.

You're assuming stupid doesn't have any reproductive advantages.

When I see some folks who could barely afford their basic vital needs breeding like rats, it looks like a challenge to Darwin's theories

Then there is the problemishes where stupid can take out people minding their own business doing what that are supposed to be doing when you involve vehicles and highway speeds.

Maybe, but more likely they take out somebody not paying attention anyway. Is Bill Gates really all that smart if he's looking at his cell phone while driving? Pay attention and you can anticipate what an idiot is going to do before they know. One of my gripes with the autonomous cars, they will just never be as smart in thinking ahead although better reaction may make up for insight. Still I suppose no matter what you do at some point there could be cases where you are going to die. To me that's just the price of living.
