It won't turn out any good, considering the (usually) extreme weather there.

That assumes battery tech does not solve that problem by 2035. I mean, NiMh batteries don't have as much trouble with cold as certain Lithium chemestries, right? Stands to reason that currently unavailable options might solve or mitigate the problem. After all, by 2035 we will have graphene or solid state or some other day dream realized, right?

There wasn't enough niclkle to meet the demand for Toyota to make the prius, the nickle price spoked up to $30 per pound when adjusted for inflation back in 2007.

Cadmium-based batteries fare even better under harsher environmental conditions, no wonder they're still are (or were about 6 years ago) the most common to be found on airliners.

Graphene sounds good, and so do solid-state capacitors at least in theory, but I still take the all-EV approach with a grain of salt.

New incredibly stupid idea hot off the press in you guessed it, California.
Get this now they are banning gaming PVs to save electricity. So they can force people to buy electric cars and still turn off the electricity.
I'm not a huge bill fan, he regularly goes too far right or too religious but I agree on this one.

The "ban" was put into place back in 2016. Dell and others just haven't complied or haven't gotten some of their computers certified.
The wording also makes it to where they more capable a computer is, the more power it can legally draw. There's a greater chance for smaller, less energy consuming computers to not meet the standard than big full blown gaming rigs.
It also affects secret started that adopted the bill, including Colorado and even Canada.
