When you do the republic of Ireland, the tourist places have diapers on their horses and strict anti litter laws.

California can't keep people's lights on again, periodic blackouts for the last 2 years. Which seems kind of important if you are going to force people to buy electric cars.
I remember in late 2019 California was like "we need to do rolling blackouts to prevent wild fires, it has nothing to do with electricity shortages" Ha!
Only the nusom sycophants bought and spread that bull.

They should ban poverty and murder, since it's just that easy to solve problems. Later, when inspiration really hits they might consider banning despair and disfunction.

Which should be required in the USA on multi-use trails. Horse people don't seem to understand why all other trail users hate them. News Flash! It is because you let your pets crap all over the trail and expect other users to walk in it. The rules say "Clean up after your pet". Just because you ride your pet doesn't give you an exception to the rules.

A long time ago most people who were transported by horses were rich. The great majority used their own two feet for transportation.

Then the rich started switching over to the horseless carriage.

Then the middle class appeared and the not-so-rich started buying motorized vehicles.

And as the motorized fad grew the prices for such vehicles dropped until all but the poorest people started to have to opportunity to drive a car, or at least a motorcycle.

justacarguy.blogspot.com: California now advises on electric cars being not such a good idea during the drought, and heat wave, and lack of enough electricity in the system - by mentioning them during the ISO report that a "flex alert" is on
Quote:
The California Independent System Operator, which monitors power lines across the state, initially said Wednesday that the grid was stable and that the state would have enough electricity to meet demand. Just hours later, however, the agency issued a Flex Alert for Thursday from 5 to 10 p.m. to encourage reduced energy usage because of the strain on the state’s grid.

Residents are advised to avoid lowering the thermostat during those hours and to complete tasks involving high amounts of energy beforehand, such as using major appliances and charging devices and electric cars.

Even though gas prices skyrocketed, it's often pointed out that a small-displacement motorcycle has a lower TCO than a donkey.

There's a problem that no-one is trying to fix.

Why fix the problem when it can serve as a long-lasting cash cow through the continued sale of false solutions?
