I had a '86 Diesel Rabbit.
A car I wished I had not owned, especially when some idiot cut me off and slammed his brakes and the stupidly bad brakes of the Rabbit made me hit him... well it was more like a kiss but nevertheless my front folded inward like paper.
The car was totalled. The idiot had no damage at all.
The '86 Rabbit was a death trap. I'm glad to have survived, due to it being such a small incident. Anything serious would have killed me.

A big
RedDevil -- same thing happened to me 2 weeks after I put my current driver on the road, after a complete rebuild of the front Macpherson struts and all new brakes. It took him 5 seconds to go from behind me to in front of me—in a panic stop. I was stopping faster than him, another 5 feet and I'd probably have cleared him.

I loved my 1987 Honda Prelude Si, but I looked at a 1990 Celica first, and would wanted to purchase it, but I was not able to take it to a mechanic, and would not try on Sunday, so someone else purchased it. Both cars drove well, but the Celica had beautiful white paint, while the Prelude had extremely faded red paint. The Celica had an automatic transmission, while the clutch went out on my Honda soon after I purchased the car. My mechanic convinced me to buy an Autozone clutch because of their lifetime warranty, which I used, and then bought an OEM one, before my transmission went out.
For all that I know, the Toyota was in just as bad condition, but in retrospect, it might have been worth rolling the dice on the white car.

I've been reading old car reviews recently and I'm now looking for an old Audi 100 CD to keep and use.
There was a TD version sold here but it was really really carp.

Arragonis, you could probably park an original mini in the back of that Audi.

I know, just that Vette's have always held a special place in my heart, especially the '63 split couple. Maybe one day I'll actually own a Vette, although not likely the beloved '63.
Another I've wanted is a '48 or '49 Ford F1 pickup. As a matter of fact back in the early '80's I was hunting for one when I ran up on a '55 Thunderbird for $5000. and passed it up because I didn't want to spend my money on the T-bird then not be able to afford the pickup if I found one. I've wished many times since I'd bought the T-bird.

That's a nice one. Too bad Citroën is quitting the hydroactive suspensions...
