Sucks to be a good, in depth "content creator." If you put out 20 minutes of specialized/technical info that took weeks to compile you might get a few thousand views worth $5 to google.

I'm only half-way gone, my attention span is about 12 minutes.

I could look away, but why does the world have to be so interesting?

Two thoughts:

1. I have a crappy video that took 4 minutes to shoot and has 20k views.
2. That's what competition does. If everyone is a "content creator" then the value for content decreases.

This "content" was pretty entertaining back in 2002, but more entertaining stuff is produced every second now.

Well, I can't post in the other thread, so here: I wondered how Mr. Edgar has fared on Youtube so I visited

www.youtube.com/@JulianEdgar/videos

The other thread closed 07-28-2021, no posts on Youtube in a year. Do the math. I always tolerated his prickly nature (pushing back was fun), but it's amusing that the penultimate post was

Sort of a swan song?

Swan song - Wikipedia
The swan song ( Ancient Greek: κύκνειον ᾆσμα; Latin: carmen cygni) is a metaphorical phrase for a final gesture, effort, or performance given just before death or retirement.
Henceforth carmen cygni.

Behavioral science says he is consistent among his postings so i suspect he systematically burns through forums until chased off by the participants. Aero forum's are kinda rare

Just skimmed through this old thread again.

It never was explained why a change in speed and therefore a change in BSFC was not relevant to quantifying aerodynamic treatments at a given engine load (throttle position). Maybe the method gets close enough that the BSFC can be ignored?

Anyhow, still seems the easiest method to test aero treatments, and if I ever need to A-B-A test a treatment, I will be using the throttle-stop method.

I'm certainly not going to purchase laboratory time to see precisely how much improvement pizza pan moon discs are giving me.

It’s hard for me to throttle stop test. The floor below my pedal is too squishy!

This thread was a reaction by OP to the method introduced elsewhere. Mr. Edgar only started 4 threads (and Thanked twice) during his speed run through here. Titles not pertinent.
