We are talking about internal comustion engines, it is the same, petrol diesel, small, big, just engines that contain oil inside. metal, bearings etc. If a very big truck pulling very heavy weights working non-stop for very long intervals would last very long without oil change why wouldnt a very small car that transports very light weights compare to the truck.
You are a professional Old Mechanic i dont expect you saying oil should never be changed cause you will loose your job.
You dont convince me ever. I will never change the oil!

I bet Old Mechanic is retired now, so he doesn't need to feed the conspiracy. I'll also bet he's seen plenty of damage from lack of basic maintenance - like changing the oil.

Nobody thought anything could change your mind at this point in the conversation.

Regards,
Your ignorance of internal combustion engines is apparent to any reader. There are large diesel engines that run 24-7 for years. They generally run at very low speeds, sometimes less than 100 RPM.
If you think that is the same as a model airplane engine running at 42,000 RPM, then you need to educate yourself.
A brain is a dangerous thing to waste and the ultimate cost of wasted brains is loss and poverty.

I'm finished here, not interested in free lessons. Try using spell check in your posts.

Good, can you do us a favor and report back with your long term results every now and then?

The oil change interval for most long haul diesel engines is 25+K miles. Those engines usually use 10-15 gallons of oil opposed to 1-1.25 gallons of oil most car engines use, so 10-12 times the amount of oil therefore less contamination. Most long haul diesel engines run a million or more miles before they need to be torn down for an overhaul, but very few car engines make a million miles even with rebuilds. Highway diesel fuel also contains a maximum 15 PPM sulfur where gasoline contains a maximum 80 PPM sulfur, less than 1/5 the sulfur. Cleaner fuel means cleaner oil. The oil filters they are selling in the above post are probably toilet paper type filters where the oil is circulated through a regular size toilet paper roll not a few pleats of paper that conventional filters are made of, therefore filtering many more smaller contaminants from the oil and lots of particles that normally stay suspended in the oil until the oil is changed. Even then the paper roll has to be changed at a specified interval, I don't know what that interval is, because I've never used them (probably every 3-5K miles). The interval is probably available somewhere on the internet by searching toilet paper oil filter. Here's more information on the type filter I'm talking about and probably similar to the one you linked to. Frantz Oil Filters

Of course, i will report with pleasure, that's why i joined this forum. 1st good thing is that the oil I use has passed double km to what was recommended 15000 vs 33000 km and everything is perfect.

Only an independent professional test with two same engines one with regular oil change and the other without an oil change transparent for the public could change my mind.

I love changing my oil and plugs often!
Every 2500-3500 mile intervals, new filters and plugs every other oil change!
I guess it became a bad habit since I was racing everywhere and hitting 100MPH every single day at least twice or more but now only about once a week.

This was what I thought about my car too until the oil pressure dropped, then I had to pull the oil pan, clean the oil pump screen and remove sludge from the oil pan that wasn't draining when I changed the oil and filter. I probably removed 1/2-1 cup of sludge from the oil pan itself, besides what was in the oil and filter.

That is just as ridiculous as the kid at the local car cruise that was bragging about getting 7 mpg with his big block Chevelle. I looked at him and said "...and you're proud of that?" Stopped him in his tracks as I'm sure he never had that response before.

Take a look at my plugs after 3500 miles

Sorry I forgot to mention this was on my 1990 RX7 Turbo "Rotary" motor.
Now maybe you understand & I can look back at you and see you understand now.
