That's a lot of air conditioners!

In any case, I thought of Hauer’s paper when I saw a tweet suggesting that “India becoming too hot for human life is probably going to be the migration event that completely destabilizes global geopolitics.”

The comment was made in reference to a New York Times article about literally unbearable temperatures—temperatures too hot for human survival—that are beginning to recur in India.
....
So, as with refugees fleeing sea-level rise, where will everyone go? Or, to paraphrase Mathew Hauer, where will heat migrants likely migrate?

People won't all wake up one day and mass migrate. The environmental change is so slow that migration will take place over millenia. There may be localized events that prompt relatively large migration events, but its not like temperate zones will need to accept 4x more people in the next 2 years.

Heck, I'm already wise enough to know I couldn't survive in any southern state.

All kabuki until then. Stormy daniels lawyer works for free?

True. It's cognitively more comfortable to sit back and do nothing.
