Well it looks like the unstable polar vortex has been once and for all linked to solar minimum.
The only people blaming "man made climate change" are how can I put this a nice way, uneducated and maybe even a little crazy.
As they like to say it's settled science.

I think they have always known this, otherwise they wouldn't be so hypocritical and hostile.

Do you really think that scientists are not accounting about the sun's output?

Scientists are not a monolithic bloc.
Scientific thinking evolves.
Tim Pool covers the fire-bug story.

Yes they use a report from 1996 that looked at 1 wavelength of UV who's output doesn't change. Thank aerohead for finding that report, he was so determined to prove that sun's output is fixed, he also exposed that's what the climate scientists were using all along. Opps.
The 2022 ipcc report will be the first to include outside influences.
Climate scientists have worked under the wrong assumption that the sun's output doesn't change and solar wind or cosmic particles can not effect weather or climate.
Times are a changing.

The US has had solar observer satellites up since at least the mid 1990s.
I just find it all too convenient climate scientists would cling to an out of date study as if we learned all we were ever going to know about the sun by 1996 and ignored established science about how solar storms affected the atmosphere.
You know this is why some people may have thought they were trying to run a scam.
Good thing that stupid carbon cap and tax didn't pass in 2007.

In another thread I commented on how I used to have to scrape ice off the windshield in the morning (in the 1960s) but now it rarely freezes. So should I believe in AGW? I think I'll follow the science. That says we're headed into increasing Chaos for whatever reason. So we should expect more of what we get; in this case more temperate. At least until the Cascadia Subduction Zone subducts.
As for grabbing the economic tiller and steering the whole thing into a ditch, let's not.
