I can see wind turbines drying the ground in the immediate area around themselves.

I'd have thought the higher pressure air would condense vapor locally.
So does the US blowing up the pipeline accrue the greenhouse gas emissions on our ledger, or does it stay in the country that allowed it to be blown up?
Just worried some politician is going to eliminate beef from the menu to atone for our sins.

www.zerohedge.com/: Newly-Launched Finnish Nuclear Plant Sees Electricity Prices Plunge By 75%
Quote:
The Olkiluoto 3 (OL3) nuclear plant completed the transition from testing to regular output last month to become Finland’s first new nuclear plant in more than four decades. It is expected to produce up to 15 percent of the country’s power demand.
And while the plant’s production is still in its early days, its launch has had a considerable effect on Finland’s energy prices, lowering the electricity spot price in the country from €245.98 per megawatt-hour (MWh) in December to €60.55 per MWh in April, a reduction of more than 75 percent, according to physical electricity exchange, Nord Pool.
Energy prices had risen sharply in the Scandinavian country after the Finnish government banned electricity imports from neighboring Russia last year due to the ongoing conflict in Ukraine. The utilization of nuclear power will be welcomed by Finnish consumers, particularly given the fact that Finland has the highest per-capita electricity consumption in the European Union.
“We have had more stability in the system because of OL3. It’s a huge nuclear plant, one of the biggest in the world, connected to a small system,” said Jukka Ruusunen, chief executive of Finland’s national grid operator Fingrid. “It has its own risks, which we are happy to follow up on,” he added.
Speaking to The National, Ruusunen explained that wind power is expected to be the largest source of energy production in Finland by 2027, with nuclear currently being a useful and reliable substitute.

Meanwhile Germany begins to understand the [lack of] wisdom of shuttering theirs.

Funny how the climate grifters tell us "nuclear is too expensive" and can't explain why countries with no nuclear power appear to always have more expensive power than nuclear powered countries.

The 75% drop is because they were being extorted with foreign oil.

Too cheap to meter - Wikipedia
Too cheap to meter. "Too cheap to meter" is a slogan first attributed to nuclear power. Too cheap to meter refers to a commodity so inexpensive that it is cheaper and less bureaucratic to simply provide it for a flat fee or even free and make a profit from associated services. Originally applied to nuclear power, the phrase is also used for ...

The only thing we've gotten that is too cheap to meter is wi-fi.

What I find preposterous is the idiots that point to so-called expert reports showing that the LCOE of wind and solar is already way lower than everything else, meanwhile my utility solicits paying extra each month for "green" energy. How about I pay less every month since the LCOE is so much less? How can the idiots square that circle? A 3rd grader is capable of asking how a thing that costs more in reality, costs less when proposed on a paper.

You mean the ones mentioned in my sig line? (Does anyone get the we wouldn't know/anonymous joke?)
It's a frog-boiling. Start with mass media (3 to many), progress to social media (many to one) and finish with AI chatbots (hive mind).

SA has been advising to become expert with AI now, as it will be the next area of explosive growth, which I don't doubt.
That said, I have so far not been impressed with example output of these predictive text machines. Predicting text is not the same as understanding data and applying a value structure to interpreting it. I suppose there are pluses and minuses to both approaches, but neither are substitutes.
