Wow, all these decades and the totally unbiased, so-called news, never made it clear to me that Ted Kaczynski was a green religion extremist. Amazing what not getting laid can result in.

Some how he saw the future and it drove him mad.
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ted_Kaczynski
"In his second year at Harvard, Kaczynski participated in a study described by author Alston Chase as a "purposely brutalizing psychological experiment"".
Yeah that wasn't just some experiment. It was MK ultra. They fried his brain.
Now, nearly 30 years later the stuff in his manifesto doesn't sound all that crazy.
When he lived in Michigan, after the MK ultra experiments (that started when he was about 17 years old, the perfect age to form a Manchurian Candidate) he made it pretty apparent he was a danger to him self and others. When law enforcement was about to do something the Michigan attorney general was told to leave the guy alone, from higher up.

Somehow he saw the future (his handlers had planned all along) and it drove him mad to make bad personal choices.
edit: The reason I believe this is that when I was a freshman in collge I was placed in an honors English class. I think it was inadvertent. I was lost in the group think but mid-term the prof scoriated the class on their grammar and administed a test. I scored better than my peers. The whole class was about the French Existentialists, which I now see as an intro to the Frankfurt School of Marxism. Those Anti-fascists the Nazis ran out of Germany, who wound up on the California Coast loathing the blonde Surf Culture they found there.
So they were in the West Coast Universities in the 1960s.

511 peer reviewed papers retracted, scientific misconduct and peer reviewer misconduct. A largest portion are "climate related". And more coming.

Peter Boghossian and James Lindsay exposed the massive corruption in the peer review process by getting many fake academic papers published in what used to be highly credible scientific journals.
The scientific community as a whole is ideologically captured, and we always knew that would happen because the incentive isn't to just discover facts and present them, but to support certain conclusions, like "climate catastrophe".
Nobody is going to fund research into the benefits of global warming. Alarmism is the only thing that can motivate people to empty their pockets and abandon liberty.
Fortunately there is also incentive to not remain corrupted. If scientific journals want to be taken seriously and not regarded like The Enquirer, there's only so much garbage they can carry, otherwise they will create a vacuum in the space of scientific reporting, and nature abhors a vacuum.

The enquire contains more accurate information than typical global warming study.

I've not really read much outside of sections of IPCC regarding global warming. It was a goal of mine to slowly read through the entire IPCC report, but now I'm thinking I need to skim it. I still haven't finished Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance, or read Atlas Shrugged, or the hundreds of other things I'd like to read.

I read a few hundred pages. No where did I get the impression that we are all going to die if we don't stop using fossil fuels now, 5 or 12 years from now.

Same.
Politicians claiming an existential emergency as the impetus for citizens to empty their pockets and abandon liberty need to point to very strong evidence to support their claim, for example highlighting where in the IPCC report the conclusion is reached that we need to light our hair on fire, or they should be cast out from public service.

This would fit well in the Scott Adams thread. Meta analysis of the scientific analysis is opinion.
I don't have time to find a Tesla thread. The GENIUS Of Tesla's Next GEN Motors! -- Two Bit da Vinci The new magnets are Iron Nitride, not Tetrataenite.
What ever happened to Truckla? -- Simone Giertz
But ontopic for this thread: Limitless Fresh Water Lies Right OVER The Ocean - Without Desalination! -- Two Bit da Vinc
This makes seasteading just that much more viable. Opalescent abalone-shell bubbles with Niron Magnetics alternators in the windmills.
