The chances of a comet hitting the earth are pretty small.
But let's say they definitely saw a comet.
What if s large comet hit the sun and triggered mega flares?

The problem with that is we are pretty sure it would take longer than 3,500 years for the orbits to stabilize.
But the ancients do speak of the heavens being in chaos.
