Interest? What is THAT?

Found the front crank seal is leaking on the Sentra, but without a timing belt for the leak to destroy, there is no hurry to fix it and it still is going close to 6 k miles before the oil level drops to the add mark.

There was one idiot with 2000 Metro who wanted $3200 for the car, WITH A BAD AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION!

Talk about throwing poop on the wall to see what might stick, LOL.

mech

I ended up getting stuck at the border on the day I was supposed to go see the car, I was polite and texted the seller to say I wasn't going to make it. The ads gone now, no doubt it sold. Though I did fib and say "I got called into work", but that sounds a lot better than "I'm stuck at the border" haha. Was just a paperwork mistake, so it got ironed out, but that stuff always takes time. Man I tell ya, it's like I'm not supposed to have another Civic wagon!

It didn't qualify on price for this thread, but I missed out on another $3k 2005 Prius yesterday. The ad was posted at lunch, car was sold by suppertime. Low km too: 140k (87k mi). (Note to self: increase frequency of already-obsessive kijiji checking!)

It had non-critical body damage: the passenger side rocker panel was crushed going over a curb.

I shall persevere! One day I will own a Toyota hybrid. Ah... the aspirations of nerds.

Sadly you don't find those in non-canada, usually have to add 200000 miles and 3 years to the age.

Well, that's usually the case here, too. Of the two $3k ads I've seen, one had very high kms, and this one had body damage. (Bad enough that he didn't post pics! )

MetroMPG is choosing to ignore my Prius it seems. The brown one you saw when you toured the fleet. 2001 with 155k KMs (96k miles). Ok sure it's been sitting for a year or 3, and the traction battery is so flat it won't start. But it ran when I bought it, I swear! Make for a pretty epic road trip back home if you are coming to Vancouver this summer. Either that or you are going to get jammed into that old '96 Metro I have that may or may not make it out of the parking lot under it's own power haha

OooOooO!!11! I forgot about that one. (The fleet was willing, but the flesh was overwhelmed?)

I've actually been *this close* several times to asking you to keep an eye out for a 2nd gen in working condition... And then I remember to take my meds.
