Hello, I'm new here, I recently acquired a 1997 Civic Sedan LX, 1.6L 5-manual for a ecomodding project car.It was $700USD It belongs in this thread!!!
150K miles
15K miles on the cooper gls(?)tires
Honda recommended maintenance has been loosely followed including a recent timing belt. looking at the huge stack of paperwork included, its in good condition for a 22 year old car. I'm happy with the purchase!

After a few mods, you should be able to easily break 50mpg.
My daughter has this same gen civic 4 door 5 speed manual and the only mods to hers is a warm air intake and tire pressure at 42psi. She got 38mpg last Tank and will improve as the weather gets warmer. Ever since I put the WAI on her car she’s been telling me how she’s noticed her tanks lasting longer. She does under stand a little bit about driving efficiently... but just a little bit.
Get a scanguage.
See my warm air intake thread.. you’ll learn a ton.

'95 Firefly/Metro, 34k miles, $995
Another little old lady car comes available...
3-cyl, 54k kms = 34k miles.
Sadly... autotragic. Needs a manual swap, STAT!

$1300 Metro with 5400 miles
The ad I saw earlier this AM was up for less than 24 hours, so the pic and link are now gone.
But it was a 2005 Metro 3-cylinder near Montreal with supposedly 8700 km (which the poster took pains to say was not a typo) for $1300.
That takes the record for the lowest km one I've seen in a long, long time.
Arguably beats the heck out of that clean '93 with 75k km: http://ecomodder.com/forum/showthrea...ing-36407.html
