I seem to recall some controversy, as Top Gear had to deflate that front tire somewhat to get the car to roll.

And they needed to have Clarkson drive it down a grade and take a corner sharply, to boot.

Elio had a good couple weeks. They gained about 500 reservations compared to the regular pace of 100-200. I'm thinking it's due to the successful crowdfunding.

If you watch this video carefully, he talks about 3 separate paths that can get him to the "finish line:" (38 minutes)

Thanks. Interesting.

What caught my ear was the 'clunker' program, where they give you a car and a credit card to buy gas. It gets triple billed and the other 2/3 goes to pay off the car. So you pay less for gas and there's no car payment. Win-squared.

The other thing was that the factory churns out 7 colors times two transmissions and nothing else. These go to seven regional fulfillment centers where the 'dealer-installed' options are installed. Daily between 9pm and midnight. For delivery the last 900 miles.

That's different.

My recollection is that he talks about one separate path and then waves his hand. 'not the droids...'

Some people who grumble about their hand in the gobberment pocket would note that they are asking for 167/500ths of what Fisker and Tesla already got.

Elio feels far more Fisker than Tesla.

So, it accelerated poorly on level ground?

Did you watch the video? Yes or no?

Could you compare Fisker's depth in the supply chain and use of crowd-sourced finance capital?

As for the Clarkson/Reliant comedy gold, he also hit the brakes, so it was decelerating. Actually, now that I think about it, he could pretty much roll it on cue.

That engine looks to be a fresh unit, so they would have done bench testing on another unit(s). And this is the first glimpse of the transaxle - looks to be a manual shift?

They are not giving away any P5 changes, in these pictures, and it is still being hand built.
