That's a cheap joke at the expense of the lives of the political figures who stood in the way of the 'Federal' Reserve, and the dieselpunks who were denied the Helium their ships-of-the-air were designed for. Anyways...

Elio's VP of Engineering on Autoline After Hours from 20161016. His segment is over at 21:42:

Offered mostly without comment as it's been a few days since I sat through it. But looking for the break point I see that the trike's 0-60 time is up from 9.6 to 11 seconds.

I'm somewhat glad this thread hasn't died, still very glad I didn't preorder.

Ten seconds to sixty is not all that great?

How about infinity to 60, since nobody has one to do it in.

For adam728 the best details of streamlined motorcycles is the results of the Vetter economy runs at craigvetter.com. Both sendler and low&slow have built bikes capable of high mpg. schultzengineerig.us is another site with great pictures. Google search scott endler motorcycle images

Jalopnik gave up-close opinions seeing that orange prototype in a Las Vegas show- something about looking good from a distance but shoddy fit & finish, steering wheel Elio nameplate, and headliner up close; then in another article had a video of a Polaris Slingshot rollover.

I will have nightmares for sure now.

The time to 60 is currently being measured in years, with no end in sight.

Well the 90's Geo metros had 55hp for the 3 cylinder. But the Elio would have ~500 less lbs.

I keep getting ads and such for the Elio - I had British bikes back in the 70s - after owning a Norton back then, I'd feel weird buying an Elio - tho the price seems good!
