thanks, your right. the vehicle that everything is going into is a 96 with obd2
the parts vehicle is a 95 with obd1
both are 3 cyl manual models both with the same body styling also.

no wires were cut or anything and everything is labeled so install should go fairly easy. i just dont want to get the 95's motor in to find out it wont run right.
im wanting to swap motors because my 96's motor has 120k miles on it, and the 95 has 85k miles on motor and trans.

the 95's body was completely rusted through so i figured Id use the solid car.

along with turning the parts car into a metro truck last night lawl.

sorry for being rude earlier, ive been looking all day, and not having any luck. basically i just need to know if i should pull the trans off the 95 and put it on the 96, or leave it on and finish installing it.. I just want to make sure i dont get the 95 motor in and find out it wont run off the 96 ecu.

but i cant find any walkthroughs or guides, all i saw was the sensors on the intake needed to be swapped, so i did all that.

The info you need is somewhere on TeamSwift.net, but basically I think you need to change the oil pump and pan to swap the crank sensor over to the '95 engine. What's wrong with the '96 engine? 120k miles is nothing. Just use it if compression is good.
