Aerodynamics was a war between obsolescence and relevancy. A perfect demonstration of why some fields of science only advance one funeral at a time.

Oh yes not having a suspension, not being able to make a turn with out going off the road is irrelevant.

No one wants to get into an argument about solar panels on cars. Go start a differnt thread if you want to bait people people into your vendetta

Yeah what's your point?
Everything I said still stands true.

I already did a post about putting solar panels on vehicles. That's how I already knew how useless they are.

Are you talking about the early development where they realized they needed some outside help?

Yeah they had boundless n00b ambition.
Luckily they abandoned designing everything in house this time and sought professional help on multiple systems before anyone died and before they went bankrupt.
I thought the original gas powered one was very cool but they killed it by wasting a ton of time and money trying to design their own in house v-twin motor when they could have just bought one. Among other pointless proprietary exercises.

I can relate it to the fate of Gurgel, once it departed from using Volkswagen engines to a proprietary flat-twin. And most of the times I see a Gurgel BR-800 or a Supermini it has been repowered with a Volkswagen engine anyway...

The landscape is littered with similar failures: Elio, Scuderi....

Maybe Scuderi didn't try the right marketing approach. Could've been easier to get a foothold in other segments, such as stationary and industrial appliances, gensets, or marine propulsion, eventually it would become better known by the average Joe and possibly prompting some mainstream automaker to also try it.
