How do you know an injector kill switch wouldn't allow it to work?

One way to find out is to intentionally stall the truck with the gears/clutch while leaving the key alone, then try roll starting it.

Find a hill, and intentionally stall it at the top by popping the clutch in a high gear from a stop. Then roll down the hill and try clutch/bump starting.

Body control module prevents roll starting engine (manual shift trans ) on GM vehicles 1998 and newer. Once running you can kill engine by shutting off fuel pump with key switch on. (pull out fuel pump relay is one technique) Reactivate fuel pump and it will roll start but the key switch has to remain on otherwise security light comes on. On my 1998 Eldorado security light comes on once in awhile and I have to wait 20 min. before I can attempt to restart it. Frustrating.

Do you know if this only apply to a vehicle travelling above a certain speed? I have push started the truck due to a dead battery once with no issues.

There is an upper limit due to speed rating of original equipment of tires. OBII vehicles it stops fuel via injectors or pump. Later drive by wire throttle they simply throttle back. If you have a GM vehicle that has on star they can shut it off even if you don't subscribe to it.

No I meant an upper limit at what speed you can start the engine - that seems to be my trouble. I know the fuel cutoff kicks in on my truck at 99mph, but only in 5th gear - I can push it a bit farther in 4th.

Before installing my kill switch, I ran a test by pulling the fuel injector fuse. The engine stopped immediately. I put the fuse back in, and key started the engine. So, I wired the kill switch to break the fuel injector fuse circuit.

I have never had problems restarting at speeds from zero to about 60 MPH. The key switch is left on, and I do not get a security light.
