There was one of these locally, I think not this one, Forest Green IIRC. The Datsun pickup bed fits really well. It had an upright fan engine for a while and then he converted it to Type III cooling. That flattened the pickup bed.

The icon grass-covered Beetle, Salvador Dali's version looks like it has a toupee.
This one looks like a 356:

Last night I saw a little girl, about 4 years old, getting confused once she figured out a VW Beetle has no rear doors. Most likely, the Beetle her father was showing to her and her brother, was the first Beetle she ever went close enough to take a look at.
