That's an early Gol 1000, with that Renault-designed CHT engine made by the local Ford branch. BTW even though it has some adaptation for a disabled driver, it's not automatic.

This 2nd-generation Gol is also fitted with a CHT, but already with a throttle-body injection

Not so easy to spot one with the 16-valve 1.0L engine in such a fairly good condition nowadays...

Finding a Parati with the same engine is even harder...

7-Belo is a very popular candy in Brazil

Believe it or not, that's a '95 Itamar. Spotted at the parking lot of a supermarket where my mom usually goes.

It's a shame they didn't pull those quarter panels together (It would have been so easy), and use the windshield frame for the front bulkhead.

That Jaguar E-Type reminded me that Simca 8 rebuilt around a Beetle frame that one of my uncles used to have.

Did you forget then-president Itamar Franco lobbied for Volkswagen to resume local production of the Fusca in '93? Then, any Fusca made between '93 and '96 in Brazil is nicknamed Itamar. BTW today I saw one that you would love, it was nearly stock, except for the 3-spoke steering wheel from some version of the 2nd-gen Gol (the latest series of the Itamar was factory-fitted with the steering wheel of cheaper versions of the 2nd-gen Gol) and the absence of the adhesive stripes.
