I wanted to cram a 21 Kwh Lithium pack into this rig, but I also wanted my backseat, hatchback area, and the spare tire well to remain stock. I ended up recessing a good bit of my lithium below the front seats. The bottoms of these had to go below the floor a little so that I could retain all the functions of the front seats.

So there is a dropped floor under the cells? Are you using the original seats?

Charging an exhausted 21KwH bank with a 120 volt charger must be slower than death if you have some where you have to go.

Yea, 110/120 is pretty slow. I do most of my charging with 220, but one would not want to drive in North America without having a 110 volt connection on their car. I am aware that there are actual 110/120 chargers available, but I have never used one. This rig is set up with a Manzanita PFC 40L, and it charges my pack pretty quick on 220, but on the occasions when I use 110, it takes all night.

I still use the original seats, and everything works on them just like new. Here is a pic from when I was building the car. If you look closely, you can see that they are sunken into the floor.

In case you are wondering why the floor is green, this whole car was green when I bought it. Here is after I built up everything under the hood, but before I did the rest of the car...

So there are chargers that can use 120 or 220?
I know there are plenty of inverter welding machines that can do it.
Or, like a welding machines, would it be cheaper just to find 2 used ones? Say a 120volt to put in the car and a 220 volt charger to put at home?

The Manzanita charger that I am using, and a large number of other chargers, run on either. The one I am using takes 100 to 250 volts, and it does not care if it is a hot and a neutral like 110 VAC, or if it is two hots as we see in 220 VAC.

I stole a couple pictures of my ride parked next to the nissan 350 that I stole my paint code came from. This guy has been parking his 350 in a parking lot that I drive by everyday on my way into the shop, right where I have to see the sun doing its thing with all that pearl...

Yes. It draws a surprising amount of attention at the car shows, even when everything else in the shows is all classics. I have never showed it competitively, just in vendor booth format. I have a little harbor freight tent and a table that I set up to hand out business cards and to show some EV parts.

Two EV conversions and a table make a pretty nice booth, and I end up talking to people until my voice wears out.
