I meant if the plastic were to catch fire or fall off while driving and hit someone's car that's all properly done right the possibility of this happening is very slim

1. coroplast doesnt 'catch fire'.
2. PLEASE answer the questions. Have you done an underbelly pan? Have you read the threads?

or do you just say stupid things without thinking?

Alright, lets all calm down.

The truth really is as we've said. Plastic which the OEMs use isn't any different than the plastic you and I can get at a store. Its nothing special except it probably looks a little prettier. Just keep it away from the exhaust and you'll have absolutely no issues. Saying it is dangerous is simply not true.

That being said, ALL modifications have to be done with safety in mind. You shouldn't have anything flying off your car. If you don't know if it is going to stay attached you should redesign it to be sure, and then test it in a safe manner. I'm happy to say this is virtually a non-issue on this board and I can't even think of a time when I read some mod spontaneously failed in any bad way.

Actually, on a TEST RUN on a deserted road by the ranch, I was testing to see how FEW mounting points I needed w/ a new/redesigned install on my front underbelly pan.
and yep, at about 40mph it popped out. But that was why I was testing it.
TO make sure it was mounted securely enouch to withstand the air force that blew thru the lower grille opening.

Sorry for turning this topic into a belly pan argument I'm actually planning on doing a front one only. Anyway back to topic. Anyone know where to get a scangauge for cheap.

If you're on a budget and don't mind Chinese stuff the ultragauge does the job for a good amount less than the scangauge.

yea i would go with the ultragauge as well it is much cheaper than a scangauge and although assembled in china it was at least developed by an American company.

Torque converter - really dont need a mod as i can get my car to use its torque converter anywhere above 45mph and sometimes lower speeds. The better at hypermiling you get the easier it gets to enact it.

I only saw it in 1 other spot but Smooth wheel covers they costed about $5 total to make covers for all 4 wheels and i have seen the most mpg increase from them although i didnt test my tire pressure change as when i bought the car i immediately pumped em up

the wheel covers are iffy. need steel rims for a good fit, then gotta find a round item size that fits.
I was never willing to drill into my alloys.

Same i would never drill into anything metal or fiberglass etc on my car. Zip ties come in handy
