By no means would I suggest we change the rules this far into the first round (16 competitors), but seeing as no results have come in for the second round (8 competitors), would it not be possible to use the percentage theory from then on, given that all participants agree on using it?

I have another question... for calculations and scores, are we using the actual MPG (i.e. miles divided by gallons), or the rounded (0.00) number that shows up in the fuel log?
I know the Excel sheet uses the rounded number, but that could just be so the page isn't hugely massive...

i won two ways!!!!
checked air pressure and took a trip to mom and dads before work.
air pressure was 29-32 psi. so i aired up to 40psi, and with the warmish start i managed a great trip to work!!! muhahaha
As previously stated...we are keeping the current rules for the remainder of the tourney as it is not fair to those in round 1 (who might have otherwise not been eliminated) to change the rules midstream (even though the first two results would not have been affected some results may work out the other way).
I use the fuel log number as the mpg for tourney calculations (which rounds off to the hundredth mpg.
FYI - I will be out of the office (and not near any computers...or technology of any sort) until Saturday so any results that occur on Thursday or Friday will not be posted until Saturday.
