Check out this competition:
EcoModder Team Competition
(Save the link; I don't think it's listed on the main Forums page)

The competition now has 15 teams, one of which is "Diesel". With your truck currently at 77% above EPA you'd definitely be an asset to that team!

There's also a "Pickups" team; looks like you'd be an asset there too.

On some teams there is just one or four vehicles. And did you notice that the Honda team has inactive vehicles on the list? In some cases that's great for the team average, and in other cases not

Maybe old inactive cars should be scrubbed from the team lists? Sacrilege?

I've had the same thought. But I think Darin has plenty to do already...d I didn't want to ask him to do more!

Good call. It's just in fun.

I would love to enter this competition, but the fuel tank in one of my cars is 20L max capacity, filling up with your 5 gallon limit puts me way too close for comfort...

*edit: Gah just realised the age of this thread. Why is it still on the front page?

And can we run it again?

Thanks
Ben

Would love to, except the Australian and NZ equivalent 'epa' statistics are unreachable. It's not *as* bad as trying to beat Japan's 10-15 cycle in downtown tokyo, but it's pretty damn hard...

That and I've just been slammed with an auto in a cold climate and a short commute. 8l/100km sucks. The torque converter almost never locks up, with a manual I could be in the low 6's...
