Yea between the 45+ degree temps and driving 40mph in the fog... I bet both of those are helping me out a lot on this tank...

Hiya,

I have another tank at almost 44mpg -- and it has been pretty damn cold -- yesterday it was only 8 or 10F when i left for work, and it didn't get out of the 20's all day. Today, it did start to warm up in the afternoon -- and tomorrow it will be in the 60's! Go figure...

Had a day of horrible college-town traffic today. But the weather was acceptable. Luckily, finals are next week so the traffic will go down. But, will the round 2 tank last that long?

Look at Olivia trying to squeeze out a win vs. the Yaris...Tango is pulling out all the stops on this one!

According to the Yaris' past fuel log patterns...we might be seeing a fill-up soon!?! If Robbie's weather in MD is similar to mine in MA (60+ degrees today) I'm guessing he's making unnecessary trips on the highway today!?!

Good luck to both drivers!

Don't forget the snow grill-block! It worked on the last round! Make a new one if you have to!

Expecting to fill up on Friday. It is hot(for December) and rainy today. Tomorrow and Friday are supposed to be cold and rainy.

Olivia's got a full coroplast grille block in place already.
Maybe hard to see in that previous ice-n-snow-covered picture.

In the interest of running a timely tournament we have decided to declare Binger AWOL for this tournament...maybe we can pick him up in the next tourney. I know he's been stretching his tanks further and further so hopefully everything is ok with him and he's just getting great mpg's. I did send Binger a couple PM's with no response so an effort to make contact was made on several occasions.

TOURNEY UPDATE...

Because Binger is AWOL his matchup with Sean T. is voided and Sean T's first round tank now becomes his second round tank vs. Taco. After studying the numbers (and following the same rules we used with Socket vs. Tas in their first round matchup...this seemed like the fairest way to go).

Sean T. advances to the Semifinal round vs. PTSmith. It should be noted regardless of which tank was used for Sean T. he would have advanced past Taco (although using his second tank would have created an exact tie with Taco but based on percent over 90 day he still would have narrowly advanced past Taco).

And...because both Sean T. and PTSmith have declared Semifinal round tanks...Sean T. advances to the Finals as he posted an excellent tank to get past PTSmith.

The bracket has been updated and is attached...

We're down to 4 teams in the tourney with Bhazard awaiting the winner of Tango vs. Robbie...Sean T. has won the bottom half of the bracket and awaits the Bhazard vs. Tango/Robbie winner of the top half of the bracket!
