If you have stake pockets, you can get some green wood (saplings) and stick them in the stake pockets, then bend/tie them into an arc behind the cab, and a much smaller arc at the end of the bed, and tightly wrap any kind of cloth to them... that would give you a crude way to test an aero cap on your truck.

You can also make the frame with old brake line, if it's fairly clean and you know how to weld. If you want it to seem less fruity (random fabrics - shower curtains lol) you can use thin chicken wire or something, which will act about the same as fabric at speed.

I think Big Dave has a fabric cover on his Ford.

They're holes in the upper hand rails of truck beds that allow you to mount stakes and build up the box sides for a deeper truck bed, or add ladder racks, etc.

Someone, at some point, developed a topper that fit into stake pockets, but it was a PITA to get off... maybe that was a local guy though... I don't remember seeing any marketing on it.

Father used to call 'em "tool holes"... that's always where he stuck shovels, brooms, etc.

Maybe that was grand-dad...

Frank, do those side doors act as spoilers on that Box package? Do they have Solar Panels on them so when they are openned you get some extra e-juice?

Do you think you could join me for my little Event - Electricfly Aero Mods on April 10, 2011, as an Instructor or Assistant?
