The Git'rDun Challenge

June 1, 2012.

A challenge to myself to get my trike on the road, titled, and licensed.

A challenge to Ken Fry to get one of his cars on the road.

A friendly challenge, but this might hold me accountable as I have been slacking on progress on my trike the past month.

Anyone who wants to join, speak up. Speak up for June 1, 2012 and what you will have DONE with pics.

Thanks, Doug. Great idea. I'm in.

Have you had one of those dreams where something is chasing you and it feels like you're running through molasses? It's been that way for me. Legal mumbo-jumbo, clearing out ends of old projects, etc. Even lobbying for the sort of preferential tax treatment that I whine about all the time.

Ken says "Why the heck does the tax code need to be so complicated.??!! Oh wait, let me help you make it more complicated."

Steppin up to the plate...

Okay~ I'll jump on board here! My goal is to repair collision damage, rebuild engine, replace trans and rear axle, and redo interior~ basicly a road-worthy daily driver restoration~ plus upgrading to 4x4 suspension

Let the race to 6/1 begin~!

Nice Doug. This will help me get off my a$$ and get the tail done and painted.

The challenge for me - Make "template" templates for the top and sides of the tail, finish forming and shaping tail, finish/fine tune rear AND front wheel covers, paint whole car.

Basically this will be my body work done to the top side of the car. I'm leaving a little wiggle room for the belly pan( which still needs finishing).

C'mon Metro, man-up.

My track car put back together and running with a new cam, wideband and Megasquirt 3.

Car is a 1978 280Z with intercooled T3/TO4B turbo, dynoed 313rwhp with 16 psi boost on factory cam. Expect to run same boost level, but redline to 7200 rpm instead of 6400.

June 1 is close enough to the first day at the track, so I accept the challenge.
