Has anyone tried Rain-X Anti Fog?
This time of year its been abnormally warm and with the snow melting the humidity is really high. I don't typically let my car warm up much at all before heading out, and this leads to easily fogged up windows. Also, my trips are normally pretty short, so I don't have a ton of heat to blast to get rid of it. I've been thinking about trying out Rain-X Anti Fog on my windows. Has anyone else tried it? How has it worked out for you guys?

No, I just switch to defrost with AC as needed. I don't have warm air, but I can make dry air.
But regular Rain-X on the outside is almost as entertaining as hypermiling.

I was only vaguely aware it existed. I'm interested in reviews...if it works, I'll go buy some in a heartbeat.

I bought some years ago for helmet use during winter, didn't help any.
Rain X all my cars.
I do have 2 bottles of it, parts of car cleaning kit presents, I'll try part of my windshield on the XFE to see if it makes any difference.

Yeah, I've used regular rain-x and love it too. I apply it in summer when I remember.

There must be some chemical or oil that does help with fogging but only to a point. If I wipe my finger across the inside of the window, that will be the last place to fog up even weeks later. It still will fog but the area around it fogs first. On my Subie which is a bit damp inside this time of year anyway, I immediately turn on the defrost and start the fan when driving. If I wait 2 mins until there is heat to go along the windows will have already started fogging and it then seems like an uphill battle the rest of my 6 minute commute. I think the airflow right away is not only drying the interior air right away, but keeping my exhale from hitting the windshield and condensing.

I've used something similar on windscreen, works well above 50mph (don't need wipers), other than that the best I've found is to crack the window slightly so the humid air is drawn out. Have you also checked that the hvac isn't set to recirculating? If I leave mine like that (no AC) it ends up like an 1100kg sauna.
I've a Hyundai Accent LCII 1300 manual - still prefer the old Humber Sceptre 6 speed. It's funny how similar they are with a 40 year difference but I'd commit a small crime for a fwd version of the Sceptre 6 speed gearbox, the Accent ratios are low, 28mph in direct top with intake fan is possible.

My Prius has been super foggy and sometimes frosty inside this winter (first real winter it's ever seen). We do mostly short trips, so not enough time for the little engine to make much heat. I've started just leaving the defrost blasting with the AC on for all our short trips. Probably doesn't drag my mileage down quite as much as having to let it warm up for 10+ minutes to clear frost off the inside... I need to look into desiccants and see if a couple socks full could solve the problem using less energy.

Make sure if you do use a dessicant dehumidifier that it's secure and the stuff inside can't leak. Those crystals have been known to kill people if they're ingested accidentally and it's not a nice way to go apparently. It just takes one curious kid..
It sounds like there might be a faulty seal somewhere (look for dampness on seals or carpets or an area where the seal looks crushed) or a blocked drainway..
Talking of water my dads bosses Merc was hilarious, brand new convertible gets delivered, it rains - the water in the trunk is a foot deep! Turns out they'd put the bootlid/convertible top rubber seal on backwards - what should have kept water out channelled it in perfectly. Trouble was there was no visible difference between right way & wrong way. Tony was distinctly unamused - as he had a right to be on a £60k plus car.

I tried the anti-fog rainx many years ago. I had a small Nissan with no AC and in the winter it would fog up badly. I regretted applying the anti-fog stuff from day one. Instead of fog each morning the windows would be covered in ice on the INSIDE. I had to scrape the INSIDE of the windows for weeks before the treatment wore off. NEVER AGAIN. Maybe in warm climates it might help but not sub-freezing areas.
