Keanu Reeves is a serious gun aficionado. I doubt the movie misrepresents recoil or magazine capacity. But I agree on the fakery of the scenes in 2 versus 1; turned me off too. (I haven't seen 3 yet.)

A friend brought over "Shazam" and told us to not ask any questions. I had looked forward to watching it even before I realized it has Zachary Levi.
I felt vastly disappointed. Many people say it is vastly better than "Captain Marvel."
Those people are stupid.

I only watched the trailler, but his acting it's more to the stupid side, like representing a idiot character. A strong guy acting like a idiot.
What unlce Jordan. P would say??? Would he say that midia is making grow-up man think that it's ok to be and behave like a tall strong and stupid guy, like a attempt to demolish good masculinity?

"Shazam" is like "Big," but with superpowers, and he never asked for it. Zachary Levi portrays a fourteen year-old in a grown-up's body.
It also seems targeted at fourteen year-olds.

We're here for you. What were the questions you wanted to ask but couldn't, that you made that part of the story?

It was mostly just "Isn't this unavailable on DVD for two weeks?"
Maybe I did not enjoy it because I knew I needed to write progress reports and do schoolwork instead of watching movies?

I missed this in the theaters, but found the DVD at the city library. Best Western movie since Jarmuch's Dead Man.

Both are set in the Pacific Northwest.

"Yesterday" - most enjoyable movie I've seen in a while.
I actually watched it twice... and I rarely watch a movie twice.
It helps if you know the Beatles. Clever premise. Half love letter to their music, half comedy, half love story. Feel-good ending. (I needed that... the last 2 novels I read had difficult endings. Some Hollywood was in order.)

“Charm City” on Prime. It’s a doc about the hood in Baltimore. It’s brilliantly done, best doc I have watched in a good while, compelling subjects, gives a fair shake to all the subjects, and even has a twist towards the end.
I have trouble with docs sometimes, because so many end up laying bare some agenda the filmmaker wanted to highlight. This really appears to be one made of genuine curiosity. I might re-watch it fairly soon. If anyone has others which come from the perspective of real curiosity, please let me know. They seem in short supply amidst Michael Mooreish lefty crap and 2nd amendment/race/religion/whatever fear pieces, and most of the others which are just kinda cheap-feeling.

https://www.tomsguide.com/us/what-is...ews-18041.html
Toms Guide suggests Prime is a general package of services with a video option that acts as a portal to other paid services. p-a-y-w-a-l-l.
I did get to binge watch The Wire at my son's house. Was it like that? If we're straying off movies that have [ shone/shown] in theaters, how about Irving Finkel at the Royal Institution. He read (in cuneiform) that Noah's Ark was a big ol' coracle, so he went out and built one!

A mash-up of historical revision and maker videos. He's quite the character.
