Oil Pan, you are clearly no slouch with a wrench.
Why don't you go for some real MPG? Flush that frail 700R4 and transplant in a NV4500 stick shift. Two solid MPG easy, and it opens wide vistas of hypermiling. These transmissions were used with a wide range of GM engines and should be almost a bolt-up.

Or just put in an NV3500, your 120-180 HP engine won't upset the 3500 and it can cost as little as $200 for the drop in MT replacement for the 700r4.
AKA an NV3500 and 700r4 have the same mounts, dimensions, etc.

That is possible, but I am going to have the best of both worlds with boost and high compression ratio made possible by intercooling and water mist injection.
NV4500s are rare, I wouldn't mind having one, but I dont think it will happen.
The SBC, BBC, LSx, I6, 4.3L, 6.2L-6.5L and duramax all share the same bolt pattern. (those are just the ones I know about)
Water mist injection will lower EGTs by up to 300'F intake temps will show over 100'F reduction depending on starting air temps and how much water I can dump in.

The 7'' air dam with 3 or 4 prong 220v plug needs to get done this weekend and the solar panels need to get wired up too.
EDIT: put on a two-thirds 9'' air dam and picked up about 1mpg.

Got the first round of solar panels wired up, in the late after noon sun ,2hrs before sun set they built 24 volts and when connected to the batteries the charged with 45ma, in mid day sun they put out closer to 400ma.

I have started working on my HE351VE turbocharger install, I work on it at least a little every night trying to get something done, even if its just ordering parts.

I ceramic coated the out side and started ceramic coating the inside of the turbine housing. The "Jethot" ceramic coating is impressing me so far.
I am going with a real heavy coating out side, 3 to 5 coats and 1 or 2 on the inside.
So far it looks like it will hold the heat in pretty good and look like polished aluminum when I buff it.
Next will be to sand blast the Banks turbo manifold and coat it inside and out.

Have you put that ceramic coating on yourself?

Yes I sandblasted and applied it my self.
I do nearly everything my self.
Its a little uneven because I got impatiant and put the turbine houseing on my propane stove burner and applied the water based coating. The water base was taking too long to dry.
This coating buffs out to look like polished aluminum. So if anything the turbine housing will look really good.
I used half a bottle so far to do the HE351VE turbine housing, still need to find something that can reach down inside the torus (inside the snail shell) and the exhaust manifold to apply the coating. Something like a small square of dish sponge on a wire, old tooth brush.
The Banks exhaust manifold will get slightly modified then sand blasted this afternoon and possibly coated.

Does it just brush on like paint? How much did it cost you?
