One of the many things I like about the Insight is its bottomless hatch.
-Six 8' 2x2's
-Three sheets of 12' galvanized roofing
-One 12' center cap for galvanized roofing
-Two large tool bags
-A set of spare rotors
-Four bags of groceries
On the way home I saw someone tossing a pair of solid wood cabinets, so I threw those in the hatch too.

Honda is smart about these things. The Fit is amazing for its cargo area. My Civic coupe with all the back seats and moldings stripped out also handles such loads easily. What's special about the Gen1 Insight is it does that without stripping the interior and while getting 60+ mpg.

Got a second set of Insight rims for winter use. Had them soda blasted and powder coated - they were in rough shape. Gave my HX rims to my partner for her Fit.
Expecting my mounts and final drive any day now.

Out of curiosity, how much did the powder coating cost you?

$100 for the soda blasting, $250 for two powdercoats - I had clear put over the metallic to give it more sheen.

Everything is ready except for Hasport's mounts. Having them made from scratch will undoubtedly be a lot more expensive. I tried again this morning to contact Hasport but so far they're ignoring emails and deflecting phone calls. I think I've decided to give them until the end of the year.
