Johnny drinks coffee, Johnny drinks beer, Johnny spends too much time in front of computers and sometimes watches network TV (uuuggh).

Should Johnny be concerned about the health concerns of EMF's when all else is dismissed?

Johnny consumes on average, 5 lbs of red meat per week, most of which was undercooked or not properly handled... yep, You should worry about EMF from your car.

Sounds like Johnny isn't a dirty pinko leftist so he would never buy a hybrid in the first place.

Lets wait a few years until cancer data among hybrid owners vs the rest of the car driving population starts piling up.

I actually take offense to this statement... I drink beer, eat red meat, spend alot of time on the computer/internet, watch network TV occasionally, and would love to drive/own a hybrid.

OH - I get it... My name isn't Johnny.

LOL - I love Dogma. I actually like all the Jay and Silent Bob movies...

But - my first name isn't "Buddy", either.

I wasn't so much offended by the leftist blah blah blah comment, but by the fact that you would presume to group all hybrid owners, and those who would aspire to own a hybrid, into such a category. I don't feel that it was even a remotely accurate observation on your part, nor should it be considered anything less than offensive to the general populous of hybrid owners and aspiring hybrid owners.

emf

Is the source of EMF the 3-phase electric motor or high-voltage switching power supply? Does Gauss vary as the inverse-square of the distance from the source as other radiated energy devices?

A follow-up from Brian (5/17/04):

I sold the Honda Insight back to the dealer six months after purchase, . . .
Ok, my math suggests:
5/17/04 - 6/0/0 = 12/17/03
So this is the model that letter from 2004 was discussing:

Some of us have thought that Honda re-using the same model name might lead to confusion with the current Honda Insight:

I appreciate warning us about the hazards of the two-seat, Honda Insight that has not been sold for the past three years in the USA. Are there any letters about the Ford Pinto or Chevy Corvair?

I think if you half the distance it gets 4 times stronger, so if you get 10 times closer it goes up by hundreds. The motor and control systems would both have harmful emissions.

The car in question, the 1st Gen Insight, has a body almost all aluminum.
