I have a couple of questions.
Is the 65 mpg on your first tank of fuel, after adding the 1.5 L-VX motor and electronics? This car also already had the 5 speed HF transmission also?
Is the 65 mpg based on the Guino reading? How well do you believe the Guino is calibrated?
Thanks

What's different? How did you jump your MPG so much?
Your previous best was in the 55 MPG range and lately knocking around below 40.

A vx head on a y5 block like mine nets 11.8-1 compression and I think you would be able to get away just running 91 on the stock maps. If anything a progressive water/meth injection setup would still allow the use of 87 octane with stock like timing.
Water/meth is fun to play with, I had a gangster $1000 kit but had to sell it after my car accident to pay bills

When not in use it could be dressed up as a crazy airdam pointing down the highway. Probably getting some wicked mileage.
But the drawback would be you might end up traveling between RV parks, and putting up with geritol and metamucil rage.
Okay, looking back maybe not a good idea.
Here's another one better I think. This one could actually work.
How about a trunk mounted boat tail bike rack?
I pulled up behind a car yesterday and saw they had a bike rack on their trunk and thought "what waste there was no boat tail attached to it" no bike either for that matter.
It's light weight and removable. Maybe a great test platform.

The boattail idea with the bike rack is something I've thought about in the past, and this might just motivate me to get it done.

60 MPG is the first tank with the new engine, and the 65 mpg is based on the guino, which after the first fill up I have deemed to be accurate.

Unacceptable. Please drive faster on your next tank to lower the bar height.
