Good on gas if you can only get it started rolling..............perhaps works only in downhill mode, but what then of braking power?

EDIT:
Another packaging solution worth looking at, for the time traveler perhaps.

These are all from Go Away Garage:
Retractable fountain?
http://goawaygarage.blogspot.com/2016/07/real-mower.html
This looks like an Alfa-Romeo to me, but Go Away Garage is terrible about annotation. Tin Eye Reverse Image Search find one other example, but it's on Flickr Hive Mind, also without captioning.
Like a contemporary super car, it's got external ducting (behind the front fenders) and massive cooling vents — five gill slots, five mesh grille openings and at least a hundred punched louvers. I compare everything against the Volhart-Sagitta V2, and this has the same protruding pontoon front fenders and bubble top. Probably about the same interior space too.
Edit: It turns out Zappadong's Flickr page has information in tool tips. Here's the Wikipedia page on it: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Devaux_Coupe

If the slope of the hatch backlight is around 28-30-degrees,there can be a bi-stable flow happening, where the separation line will dance between a squareback and fastback wake simultaneously. The highest drag situation for a roofline.
The spoiler might mitigate that.

So... can you see through that plexiglass bubble when it's lit up on the inside?

Just a guess, but in a well lit urban area yes.
In a dark rural or suburban area I suspect the canopy light would reflect inward, all you would see is black.
From an artistic sculptural aspect, this design succeeds ( inside to outside relationship expressed).
From a purely functional or engineering aspect, it needs some work ( suspect air flow as well).
Again, just my best guess.
I like it mostly because it stirs my own imagination towards a better solution, and acting as an inspiration for just one person "me" it works.
NOTE: If anyone finds a plan view, please post it.
EDIT: found the website, video shows headlights, but no taillights/running lights/brake lights?
http://www.geospacestudio.com/firefly.html
Needs a longer tail, but perhaps then would not be as good in tight urban areas and in crosswinds.
Poking around I found some other designs.

I think the lights were for night time riding. It looked like a UFO at night going down the road, but was definitely visible.

Correct about that, see video in link.
firefly - Geospace Studio
Question remains; how much of that internal light interferes with the external light sources - can you see out of the canopy, or is it all black and filled with disorienting reflections?
