Yes,many were so critical to technological progress that they were 'Arian-ized.'

One was restored to running order by cannibalizing an S-10 EV,violating a pledge not to do so.A minor uproar ensued.

Here's a 1947 Saab 92 Saloon designed by Sason (see attached).

I've always liked that car. It's in my top ten of all-time car faves.

The most amazing thing is that it still exists, and is still in its original condition - it has never been restored.
Saw it last year in the Saab museum in Trollhattan, Sweden.
I wonder what will happen to it after the collapse of Saab - the Museum's cars have reportedly been seized by the Swedish government.

Thats worrying - I hope they don't auction it off. A lot of old BMC / BL / British stuff (including prototypes) was lost when Rover went mamaries skyward in 2005. That SAAB is georgeous.

Funny, until now I never noticed how much the trunk and tail lights look like a Saturn. Same age and from GM, makes sense.

I don't know why the rear wheels are separate like that. Four wheel steering?

Interesting that the Ford KA was used in this given that at the time (1996) it had an OHV engine dating from the 1950s. It was a fun car though, me and Mrs A had one on our honeymoon in Spain in 1999.
